Besties back in town! And not a minute too soon. Judging by this moldy photo it's time for Miss Cecily and I to take a new gal pal shot. I don't think I even own that purse anymore. Hmmmm. This is the reason for my serious lack in posting. Let it be known!

(photos of me by Miss Robin)

Made a trip to the Edmonton Valley Zoo with Miss Robin. I was more concerned with all the so-called "improvements" than the animals, but the company was good so I kept my rage to a minimum.

I knew it didn't didn't bode well when we pulled up and saw the cute wooden stake fence was being replaced with a lifeless grey barrier. Since when does refurbishments mean taking away the charm of the zoo?

I have a hard time calling it "Storyland" Valley Zoo any longer. The only storybook characters left are the Cat and the Fiddle and Humpty Dumpty, and although I do admire their work, it seems to me you need a few more around. Three men in a tub? GONE! The crazy clock? GONE! Gone like my childhood apparently. They even went so far as to de-rail the train and make it a sad little fake train that rides along blacktop pavement. Who approved this?

As much fun as I had looking at Prairie Dogs and Guinea Pigs... (and turtles out of their shells ha.. ha) that probably marked the last time I will ever go there. Which is sad, I had fond memories of it.

I don't want to live in a world of trains without rails.

(wearing: levi's jean jacket, embroidered purse, and crocheted dress - thrifted. tights & tank top - mossimo from Target. fauxe suede boots - envy from tj maxx. sunglasses - raybans.)

I've been bad. I went thrifting again. A gal can't help it! I scored the crocheted dress and that bag in one swoop! What luck. Things might be getting a little wild this weekend - the weather is TOO TOO TOO nice to go unappreciated. Hopefully I won't be getting down with my bad self too hard. Have a lovely weekend, I prescribe lots of fun, heavy on the sangria.

(wearing: leather jacket, suede desert boots, suede skirt, striped holt renfrew longsleeve - all thrifted. leather purse - marc by marc jacobs. sunglasses - raybans. wool tights - joe fresh style. necklace - family heirloom ha ha ha)

Really working the animal skin today.... suede on leather on leather and suede. My wardrobe is all new to me again since being a brunette. Everything looks completely different and I keep forgetting that yellow is now an option. The weather is getting consistently colder so I'll probably start looking like a bag lady pretty quick here. Oh wellll.....

Channeling my mod 'I'm The Face" kind of thing, that and Mary Weiss of the Shangri-Las as always. My dad said I looked like a waitress and my mum said a black jack dealer from Las Vegas. I'll take that I guess.

I can't decide if I hate or love this song. It's weird hearing Shangri-Las sampled. Hmmm. Thoughts?
