I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon being photographed by Alyssa Lau in eco-concious clothing from her shop, NewClassics.ca for a Local Portrait feature. Each piece I tried on was special in its own way. In this instance, the Kowtow turtleneck felt like it was made of woven clouds from heaven – so so soft. That’s what organic cotton feels like, you heard it here first! The Samuji skirt has a bias grain pattern of velvety rectangles, a design detail not lost on myself. As for the bag, Erin Templeton’s BYOB is made of buttery leather, the type that will age well with wear.
