If my life were a movie then the soundtrack playing over this shoot would have been, without a doubt, the Rolling Stones’ “She’s A Rainbow.” Which fits perfectly because of the band t I was wearing at the time. Funny how those things work out? It also helps that my jeans were also pastel striped bell bottoms a la A$AP Rocky x Guess – now that was a surprisingly amazing collaboration I didn’t see coming. Scroll down for more technicolor madness.
This is the second year of Rust Magic in Edmonton, a street mural festival that attracts artists internationally. Above, is a south facing mural on the old Reuse Centre by Fresh Canvas Art Co, the curators of Rust Magic. And below to the right, is an east facing wall mural of the same building by Kris Kanaly. These are definitely in my top 5 favourite pieces from the festival… but I haven’t quite made the walk to see all of them just yet!
I have to say that these are easily one of the most comfortable pairs of denim I own which makes their wildly loud pattern even more alluring to me. If something is crazy and uncomfortable, I have less of an inclination to continue to wear it on the regular. These candy striped treats from GUESS are just the right amount of ridiculous and supremely comfortable to be put on heavy rotation…. much like the album Their Satanic Majesties Request. Just saying….
