Hydrated Skincare Routine with Neutrogena

Winter is one of those times when I have to go the extra mile for my skin. Despite putting on my humidifier nightly, I still have to be vigilant when it comes to keeping my skin hydrated. Neutrogena Hydro Boost is all about keeping the skin hydrated. It’s a line I’ve been using for a couple of years now so you may recall I included it in My Morning Skincare Routine post. Since then, I’ve also been testing out the other products in the line. I love combining it in my existing routine, and as a Hydro Boost specific routine. The key ingredient in Hydro Boost is hyaluronic acid, which helps to hold your skin’s moisture in. This is absolutely necessary for me living in a dry climate – I need all the moisture I can trap! With that said, here is my hydrated skincare routine with Neutrogena Hydro Boost.

Morning Routine

Every morning routine should always start with an exfoliation to scrub away the dead skin and start fresh. I’ve loved the Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser for a couple of years now so it’s always how I start my routine. It’s not abrasive and leaves my skin feeling fresh. After that, I follow up with the Hydro Boost Multi-Vitamin Booster with Hyaluronic Acid. Always 👏🏼Use 👏🏼 A 👏🏼 Serum 👏🏼! This one in particular combines Vitamin E capsules (known to reduce the damage of UV rays) and purified hyaluronic acid. The last step of my routine is adding a gel moisturizer with SPF – my first choice is the Hydro Boost Gel Cream with SPF 15. On days when I’m spending more time outside, I will wear a SPF of 30 or 45 like the Hydro Boost Water Gel Lotion over top as well. It’s lightweight and soaks in quickly and never leaves me feeling sticky (like some sunscreens). ☀️

Nighttime Routine

In the evening my skincare routine has a few more steps. First, I cleanse with the Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel. I love the texture of it and can also use it with my Clarisonic. As I mentioned before, serums are everything! For nighttime, I use the Hydro Boost Hydrating Serum but the Multi-Vitamin Booster would work great too! Since it’s winter, I top off my face with the Hydro Boost Gel Cream Extra Dry formula which also contains hyaluronic acid. 💦The Hydro Boost Gel Eye Cream is an essential! I typically shower before bed and then moisturize my whole body with the Fragrance-Free Hydro Boost Body Gel Cream. I love that Neutrogena has scentless options! Their Whipped Body Balm is also great for dry winters and easy to take along for travel. As for the hands, I always have cream in my bag at all times, the Hydro Boost Hand Gel Cream has been my choice as of late.

Hydrated Skincare Routine with Neutrogena

Taking care of my skin has always been a priority for me, even back when I was using Neutrogena as a teenager. It’s so cool that I’ve been able to partner with a brand I’ve used for decades! Especially since I’m able to talk about some products I’ve been using and loving for years. These are all items you will be seeing in one of my forthcoming empties videos! Thanks so much for supporting the brands that help support this blog!

Neutrogena recently sent me a sneak peak of their latest line, Neutrogena Bright Boost that promises to restore my skin’s brightness and treat the three main signs of dullness – dehydration, uneven tone and texture; I can’t wait to try it out! It’s available now at Shoppers Drug Mart. And for Canadians, if you buy anything from this line from @shoppersdrugmartofficial, you can get 5x the Optimum points until January 24th 2020.
